On the other hand, I believe that if you change the http port, the :port should be included. Otherwise the browser assumes that the IP that you want to access is through port 80.

The access list just wants the IP that is allowed, it knows the needed port ranges it needs.

Since the access list controls multiple services such as Telnet, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS why would you assume you need to assign a single port?

Well at least you know your problem now and what you have to do to fix it.

I will discuss adding this to the REVERT in a later release and also NOT allowing people to put in :port# in the IP address field.

But seriously I would have stopped when the BIG RED HEY DO NOT DO THIS WARNING WAS PUT ON THE SCREEN. :ak:

Live and learn I suppose.

Sorry about the confusion. I don´t put :port in the address field of the switch. I changed the port in the port field!

The example of the IP access ought to be thought in the browser field.

Well not sure what went wrong for you then but I have tested the Access List to work?

We do know the switch warned you about something before you saved and applied but that point is past?

You need to go to the switch and look at your access list and or remove it and this time hied the warning if it gives you one and the time to ask questions would be before you hit save and apply when faced with a big red warning.

Ok. I´ll do that. But it will be a good practice for you to implement the revert procedure with the access list too. I don´t understand why it wasn´t implemented. If you put warnings in all procedures, don´t need to implement de reverse procedure at all.

It´s very confusing for the final user that some operations have reverse option and another not.
