Fan Failure or missing (fixed)

We had an issue with a ws-12-250-dc reporting a fan failure. Going on site, sure enough the fan was not running. However, the enclosure was in direct sunlight and the units were very warm.

The fan stopped running due to the switch chassis getting so warm that it expanded, putting the plastic fan in a bind. Loosening the two fan screws slightly, freed the fan and it immediately began to work. The issue has not returned since doing this.

We plan to shade the enclosure as well.
