In my tiredness I posted this in the wrong place a few nights ago.
In the WS I did a MAC table view and lost communications with it. Now all APs are down and I'll have to get a tech up there ASAP as there are customers down. I thought the MAC table look up issue was no longer an issue.
As a side note there will not be 200 MACs in this units table.
I would NOT have done a MAC table view had I know this was still an issue.
Also QUESTION, if I had set a watch dog, would this have rebooted the unit during an event like this.
There are two WS-12-DC at this site the one that is still working is a
MAC Address; ec:13:b2:a1:03:48
Firmware Version 1.3.9
Board Rev D
I believe both unit are the same, we will confirm when the other WS is rebooted.
Not happy
John
Tonight I'll add to it;
Yes the other WS-12-DC is the same.
MAC Address ec:13:b2:a1:03:64
Firmware Version 1.3.9
Board Rev D
It did take a reboot to clear the issue.

If you could go to the CLI and run these commands then capture the output and send it to me I'll try to figure out what happened.
cmdline
cat /proc/switch/mactable
cmdline
cat /proc/switch/mactable

I had this happen once several firmware releases back but I thought it was fixed as I had not seen it since but when it happened to me the MAC table locked up the UI and it would not respond but I noticed I could still ping the switch so I SSH'd into it and rebooted it and it came back and I was able to run the MAC table when it rebooted.
So next time it happens (if it happens) if you can ping it you should be able to SSH into it and reboot it.
I also was in a hurry to get the tower back up so I did not check to see if the APs were actually up and running but rather the UI was simply locked up. It is possible that my APs were up I could just not get to the switch UI.
In fact now that I think about it since my back hauls went through the switch as well the switch had to be passing traffic so I would guess the APs were up too,
Maybe find out if any customers off that tower reported being down, it is possible you experienced the same thing I did and just the UI was locked up.

Every time I check the MAC table on my WS-12-250-AC (FW 1.3.9) it locks up the UI. After several hours it seems to work again. So the MAC-Table feature does not work for me. I still have to go to each AP to search the bridge table. There should be around 500 entries in the table. The APs attached do seem to stay up and run normally. I have not tried SSH to the switch when this anomaly occurs.
My suggestion would be not to default the view to all entries in the table once the "MAC Table" selection is chosen from the drop-down. Then the user can select a subset/search to get a narrow view. This would take less CPU and I assume would get much faster results and less lockups.
Hope this helps.

Try upgrading to v1.4.1 or preferably v1.4.2rc4 and it should be fixed
Always upgrade to the latest version and see if the problem is fixed and if not then the latest RC version and then if still not fixed then report the problem.
Does not matter how many bugs you find in old versions like v1.3.9 as we are no longer developing those versions so we will not investigate any issue reported for anything less than the current RC versions if one exists otherwise the current FINAL version.

Thanks,
I saw that the issue was addressed in a later release after I posted. I am always timid when doing upgrades on production kit. Will schedule after hours soon.
Appreciate the response.
