New question. Assuming I can find a passive injector that outputs more than 50V will the UBNT Ethernet Surge Protector still work? The spec sheet from UBNT does not list what voltages it supports, but the photo for it on the https://www.ubnt.com/products/#all/accessories page shows 15v, 24v, 48v and 50v support.
Would I be correct to assume anything higher than 50V output will not work with the UBNT protector?

It should work fine, this is not how surge protection works or clamps down.

Do not worry about polarity pinout so long as they do not put 2 polarities on the same pair as the WS-6 mini will correct polarity mismatches across pairs
Pair 1 = pins 1 and 2
Pair 2 = pins 3 and 6
Pair 3 = pins 4 and 5
Pair 4 = pins 7 and 8

Ok. Well depending on the response from Midspans on their POE injector it looks like my best option (at least until Netonix releases their own) is to use the Tycon TP-POE-HP-56G as it is 56V with 1.8A on all 8 wires. http://tyconsystems.com/index.php/ac-pa ... poe-hp-56g
It is a little pricey, but I can get it on Streakwave and I will more than make it back on the monthly price I get from the client on this PtP link. I am just not comfortable running the switch with it reading ~42V on the 48V meter. And this is with the switch and radios basically "idle" as the client has not started using the link yet.
