Then I do not have an answer for you, sorry.

Were you running firmware version v1.4.7rc16 or close any?
Was the switch on an invalid/private IP or valid/public IP accessible to web?

Sounds hard to believe but both SFP modules could have failed - DOUBTFUL
If at a public IP and you did not use the access list or had the firmware upgrade with the latest security patches someone could have hacked it.
Could be anything, I really have no idea?

I would get the switch down then use the console cable to examine the switch config before defaulting it.

If you get it down and can access it via console or better yet get to the web UI and take screen grabs of the config.

Firmware 1.4.7rc14
On a private IP with no access to the web - only way to get at it is on the LAN

Time to order a spare and swap it out.

Wish I could be more help.

I would ALWAYS have spares for "anything" I use (maybe a couple spares) so not a bad idea to get one but there may be nothing wrong with it, won't know until you examine it.

We just had a brand new AF24HD die today on a water tower which was only in service a couple weeks - GOOD THING WE HAVE 2 SPARES

That same POE port had been designated ROOT even though it was attached to an AP serving customers. None of the customers below it can have DHCP traffic coming upstream - or radios do not allow that.

DHCP is not STP. Cambium can block DHCP but STP BDU while pass through. STP should not be activated on ports facing customer. Also, backbone and customer should not share a same radio.
If you loose the switch when disabling STP on port 3, that probably because you have a loop somewhere in your network and that would be really hard to find the source of the loop via a forum.

Well, to wrap this post up incase anyone else sees something similar. The switch was sent in on RMA after I lost control of it the second time. It was found to be a bad solder trace on one of the boards. It was causing a voltage issue in the switch that would make it reset itself. Since it happened when powering up 48v POE and powering down 48v POE, that kind of makes sense. I thought I was going crazy - and was to some extent - but the issue seems to have been hardware related.
