24V is out of range (22.8V)

Sat Sep 09, 2017 10:00 am

I'm getting this error in the log on some of my switches. "Sep 9 13:44:24 switch[767]: 24V is out of range (22.8V)"

Why is this happen ? Is it a problem ? And if yes, how do I fix it ?

That could be a unit from the batch with a defective 3.3V CAP issue?

I would swap it out and either RMA it or get with Julian on a way to bench test the unit. If it is a defective CAP and you want to fix it yourself Julian will provide instructions.

Also I would always run the latest firmware which is v1.4.8rc11 as it has all bugs reported since v1.4.7 fixed.

Ok, I will let Allan and Julian have a look at it. I have a new one that is also reporting it. From same shipment :-(
By the way, Allan is working on how to unmount the ethernet plugs

I'm not a fan of RC firmware. I always wait for final version before upgrading....
