I have a 24 port switch that stopped working. No kind of changes were being done to it. When I got to the switch, all ports (links) were off except the far two ports. When it reboots all the lights come on and then go off. I tried holding reset button and does not appear to default.
From serial port at boot: (after boot Segmentation fault scrolls repeatedly)
I was able to hold reset switch while powering on to format the writable JFFS2. It came up to defaults after this.
Is this switch trustworthy anymore? Does it need RMA? I am hesitant to place it back into production.

Occasionally, I've seen (or heard of) a unit in this state. Without going into a longwinded explanation of the mechanics (which I've written, and can be found elsewhere on this forum), I can comfortably say with about 99% certainty that your device is and will be fine. :)
