New 12-250AC Power Supply Issues? Thinks its DC

Sun Sep 23, 2018 10:54 pm

I configured a new 12-250AC to replace older 400AC as we redo this particular site. As usual the configuration was simple and easy, but now I'm going back over things in the switch before I get things swapped out in the morning and I noticed on the status and power tab there are all kinds of errors in the Power Supply info.

Then I noticed that in the upper left corner the switch thinks its a DC model? I don't even see those options on the bottom of the status page on my other AC switches running 1.5.0 so I assume this means the switch has some issue with boot firmware thinking its a DC not AC?

Now I'm gun shy about deploying this at an important site, so I tried reseting to default, upgrading to the latest beta, and still no change. Has anyone seen this before? Is there a way to fix this or is it just a bad unit?

This would be a serialization mistake at our facility. Someone forgot to do a couple steps (right click and then enter) at the end of the test routine.

If you notice the MAC is being reported as EC:13:B2:FF:FF:FF which is our default unserialized MAC .model.

If you can connect the switch to a computer with Teamviewer in your office then email me the MAC address on the bottom of the switch and your cell number and a good time to call you and fix this.
