Any way to get into a remote WS if I have forgotten the PWD?

Tue Nov 20, 2018 2:44 am

Yes, I'm a dummy and can't locate my documentation from an install 2 years ago.. So, short of driving 3 hours and taking 2 links off the air while I reset the WS... Is there any "back door method" to remotely get into one of my WS at a site since I've lost the login credentials?

Thanks in advance for not being too harsh..

I hope not lol.

On site, you can maybe change it via serial console if you didn't configure the serial port to ask a password.

That would mean a truck roll but avoid the downtime.

Yea I was going to say "OH yea, just use the username "bypass" and password "security" and it will let you right in. - LOL

If there was a way to bypass the login credentials that would sort of make the whole idea of a login a placebo and utterly useless.

Manufacturers never make a back door because if it were to ever get out you would be sued and no one would ever use you stuff again and it would get out as people quit, get pissed, and fired.
