Hi,
I tried searching for a similar issue but did not find any using the advanced search, sorry if this is a duplicate post.
We have WS-12-250 on the bottom of the towers and WS-6-Mini on the top of it.
WS-6-Mini gets power from one of the 48v ports of the WS-12-250.
Power consumption on WS-12-250 is ~180 with spikes to ~200.
Power consumption on WS-6-Mini is ~40 with 4 devices powered on.
Whenever we power the 5th device the switch starts rebooting the other devices and keeps doing it. The 5th device is also an AP which will drain not more than 20W max.
I saw somewhere that the 250W power is separated into 24V and 48V. Is there a chart that we can check if we are exceeding the 48v limit or there is a limit of 106W only for the 24V rail?
Also cable from Switch to switch is <50m .
Thank you.

hmm, the limit is only for the 24V....but at 200 watts peaking, and then adding another device, that is getting close to the limits of the 250 watts power supply.
But then again, running at about 40 watts on the mini is okay, but adding another 20 watts brings the total to 60 watts..which is a lot to push through network cable...still okay, but still a lot.
one of the things is that you really don't see a true peak sometimes in the GUI reported power, that is more of an averaged out reading for one second intervals, so your real peak power might be higher.

48V or 48VH? You need to use VH.
