RMK-400-D with WS-12-400-AC too narrow for rackmount

Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:46 pm

I recently purchased 3 RMK-400-D optional rack-mount ears for the handful of WS-12-400-AC switches we had on the shelf. I get out to one of our sites and go to install a switch and it is too narrow. All 3 of the rack-mount kits are the same. Is it possible that something got mixed up and I ended up with rack ears for a 24-port?

I did not see another way to reach out regarding this, so I figured I would post here. I can provide more pictures as well.

Those ears look to be RMK-26-D

A while back we did miss label some here.

The RMK-400-D should be about 1/2' each longer ears total about 1" wider.

Since you seem to use WS-26 could have a use for them on WS-26 units or would you like to exchange them?

If you want to exchange them simply purchase the right ones from our site, then send those back via postal mail with a note in the box requesting we credit you back for the ones you purchased. Please include on the note with the returned units a reference to your Order #, this post, and request it be credited back. Please use UPS ground on your new purchase.
