Changeing credentials breaks WEB login

So, this has been going on for a while now. I can't remember whether it's since 1.5.14 but pretty much it's guaranteed that when you change the username and password from the default admin/admin you won't be able to login to the web UI. You can however login via SSH with the new credentials. The only way I've found to get in via the web UI is to change the credentials via SSH, and then wham you can get in with the web UI.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour.

Before I found out that the creds would work on via SSH I was having to reload a backup that I've learnt to take before I change the credentials. Then I would change the credentials and from then I could get in.

Either way I'm sure there's a bug here. Hope others can concur.
