:-) What I meant to say: I keep RSTP off unless required because on the DLINKs I must be very careful not to have traffic interrupted due to the switch thinking there's a topology change when the port involved can't really be part of a loop. That is my bad experience with RSTP. If your switches do it better - i.e. a topology change occurs only if a port goes up or down that is really part of the ring - then I would apply my bad experiences to your switches although I should not.
But I would have to verify your test results before I'll accept the thought of turning RSTP on when it's not really needed.
