I have asked Eric to work with you on this issue but he us very busy.
Until Eric reaches out to you and either fixes it or shows you that it is not us just disable Loop Protection.
If you do not hear from Eric soon send him a PM, maybe arrange a phone call or Skype with him.
I would like to put this issue to bed as well trust me.

We are getting (seemingly false) Loop Protection detections on all three of our WS-6-MINI switches so far deployed on our WISP network at repeater locations. A log extract is below.
Oct 15 15:17:04 Loop protection: detected loop from port 5 to port 5, disabling port 5 for 180 seconds
Oct 15 15:20:06 Loop protection: re-enabling port 5
Oct 15 21:31:38 Loop protection: detected loop from port 5 to port 5, disabling port 5 for 180 seconds
Oct 15 21:34:40 Loop protection: re-enabling port 5
We are not using VLANs although I believe there may be a VLAN or two still present on the wire from our legacy system. For now I have disabled Loop protection on all the switches and so far this has solved our dropout problems.
It's hard to believe that the loop detection could be valid because it only mentions one port and the network is otherwise operating perfectly well. If more information about the details of the loop detection could be added to the log file, that would be great.
Anyway I'm mainly posting this in case it helps other users or the Netonix developers. This thread came up as the Google number one search result.

Loop protection does not work like STP.
Loop Protection sends out a special BPDU packet and if that packet finds its way back to the port it will show up as a possible loop.
For instance if Port 5 sends out a signed BPDU packet that goes out to another switch that is connected to yet a 3rd switch and that third switch has a loop or leaky VLAN and that signed BPDU packet finds its way back to Port 5 the switch thinks there must be a loop out there.
You can disable Loop Protection under the Device/Configuration Tab but if I was you I would want to figure out why this is happening, possibly some other piece of equipment is leaking BPDU packets across VLANs or something?
