TFTP backup behaviour changed since 1.5.15 and is creating weird file names on the server.

1DXKX0~K
1IRZUQ~Z
1J3V9U~Q

before: "IP address - version number"

What is the entry in the TFTP URL box?

Examples:
tftp://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/hc-ws1
tftp://tftp.domain.com/hc-ws1

I am guessing your using some special characters we are not accounting for?

Device is called "Depot" no special characters in the name

Right from the web portal: tftp://192.168.xxx.xxx/netonix/Depot

Another switch that was running 1.5.15 and upgraded to 1.5.20. Made a config change after the upgrade.

It's actually doing what it's suppose to do, the management scripts where re-written due to issue's reported with the original implementation here: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=7945#p38152

We discovered that previously, ntp would only sync on link changes, there was no polling interval before.

Now, the polling interval is set to 24 hours, but we found that to get sync as quickly as possible at bootup we still have to allow the service to be restarted on link events, otherwise, there's no guarantee the first ntp poll will succeed while network access is still being setup during bootup. The change is a bit noisier in the logs now but it is more reliable.

As far as other issue's, such as radius, the backup file names, and a few other things brought to our attention - those are in progress now.

1.5.21 has been released.

We did find a few more issue's with VLANs, please give it another try if you had issue's with >30 VLANs on 1.5.20
- autobackup filenames should be fixed.
- radius login should be fixed.

Like normal, this thread will be locked and any discussions moving forward can be continued in the new thread:
