Really sorry to hear this!

I have tested the upgrade from v1.1.8 to v1.2.0rcX before with no issue but I am doing it again to verify.
I downgraded switch to v1.1.8 and now I am upgrading it.

mike99 wrote:Also, have you test/look at loop detection and STP issue ? I didn't have any return on this. If you want, I could send you or Eric the config of both switch and explain how to reproduce it (no loop, only disable and enabling STP). Else, I will disable loop protection on all switch just in case.

This will be fixed in rc12.

Eric has rc12 done, he is waiting on Dave to sign off on a couple things and I will post it up.

I have also preformed the update from 1.1.8 on the switch I replied about earlier. Just an FYI.

yeah, not sure what the deal was. I had one radio hooked up and one uplink to another switch. Just started testing things, decided to do the upgrade and never came back up.

I am hoping it's an easy fix.

Also, I don't know if it's been requested before, but can we keep standard on the serial ports with the RJ45 jack. I am always scrambling to find the serial cables for ports that you are using. I have tons of these little blue cisco serial cables laying around :)

The problem was with the switch not getting DHCP anymore after upgrade. had to get into the switch VIA the default IP and set it static.
