Voltage out of Range?

Hi,
I have just installed a new WS-12-250DC switch running on a 24v DC source, upgraded to Firmware 1.3.8. Everything appears fine, however in the log I am getting repeated messages every 5-10 secs.
'Switch [771] Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4v)'
On the system status page everything is in the green.
Should I be concerned or is this a a small bug in an otherwise great device?
Thanks in Advance.
Chris

That is a bug where we were to picky about allowed ranges and has been changed in the v1.3.9rcX versions
I would review Release notes for v1.3.9rcX and try v1.3.9rcX, I am about to post up v1.3.9rc8

Hi,
Looks like I many have spoken too soon, the message was gone for a couple of hours then started creeping back every hour or so, now it is continuous:
Dec 16 17:55:14 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Dec 16 17:55:24 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Dec 16 17:55:27 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Dec 16 17:55:34 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Dec 16 17:55:38 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Dec 16 17:55:41 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Dec 16 17:55:45 switch[1367]: !Power Supply Output Voltage is out of range (50.4V)
Apart from that everything else looks good.
Regards.
Chris

Thanks Mainland, we are reviewing this. Obviously there is nothing wrong with the hardware our valid ranges are simply too narrow.
Could you please post up the Main Status Tab and Device/Configuration Tab as I would like to gauge the load on the switch.

No Problem:
Hope that helps, it is very lightly loaded.

Sorry here you go. Under Device / Configuration everything is default, except my SMTP credentials and NTP server
Here is device Status.

Thanks, we will increase the range in the next release.
I take it that the alert happens sporadically?
You do know that the prefered POE option for airFIBER X radios like on port 2 should be 24VH.
24V is OK up to about 200' of cable but if you have 24VH at your disposal you should use it.

Yes it is a sporadic message, now it's around 10 seconds, I was aware that 24VH was the 'normal' way of powering an AF-X but did not realize it would give any benefit on short runs (this is about 50ft) however if it could provide any advantages I will change it.
Anyway thanks for all your help and wish you luck with a great product. it's goodbye to all the tough switches in our network, Hello Netonix, having a native DC option was a killer move.
