Hello
We have been running UBNT Toughswitches in our network with Mikrotik routers. We are using VLANs from the toughswitch to seperate backhauls and access points going into the routerboards. The routerboards are running OSPF and MPLS with VPLS tunnels going back to our core router. We setup the netonix switches the same way and swapped them with the UBNT Toughswitches. Problem is the VPLS tunnels never come up with the netonix switches. We have gone through the configs of both Toughswitch and WispSwitch. Can't find any misconfiguration. Then we setup EOIP Tunnels to test over the Wisp Switch and those work. All routes are in place, just the MPLS and VPLS stuff is not working. Any suggestions?

Could you post up a screen grab of the VLAN Tab.

Please find attached the screen grab of the VLAN tab. The VLAN's that aren't passing VPLS are 10, 20 & 28.

What do you have the MTU set to?
Have you tried to increase the MTU (on both ingress and egress ports)?
I am not very familiar with VPLS or MPLS and have requested Eric to review this thread when he gets a chance.

Re: VPLS Tunnels not working through Wisp Switches
Fred,
You have to have an MTU above 1528 to pass MPLS/VPLS. Higher still if your moving any other encapsulated traffic like VLAN's , PPPoE, etc.
I run 1560 on all radios and switch ports.
I was working with a friend the other day and he couldn't get his VPLS tunnels to come up without raising the MTU to 2000.
The tale tale sign of MTU problems will be with lots of RX Oversize packets on the ports.

Set it higher.
Are you seeing rx oversize errors?
