VLAN re-writing

I think the answer is no, but is there a way to re-write a VLAN on the switches?
So say I have 4 VLANs that come in on Port1 (2,3,4,5)
I want to put these VLANs on Port3, but I need them to come out as (2,3,4,6). Is there a way to mangle VLAN 6 and 5 together in the switch?

Umm no, the switch can not rewrite/change the VLAN ID it is handed

You could 2 unuse port with a patch cable between them, one untag at VLAN 5 and the other untag at VLAN 6 so you can do it at the cost of 2 ports. Since it's so rarely use (maybe when merging 2 networks ?), I think it do the job to just use a switch with more ports.

Our switch core is capable of VLAN mapping but this feature is very rarely needed and where as I am not saying maybe someday I just would not want to say when and for sure of we implement it.
Mike's suggested should work, I agree with his solution.

That works and this site is a light port. Thanks.

Curious is vlan translation has been given any more thought. I have a few use cases for it.
