@sirhc, please add scheduled firmware upgrade. I need to upgrade switches at 4:00 AM in the morning. Doing it manually is a pain....

We are soon going to release a Management Software that monitors the switches and allows scheduled upgrades and more.

A procedure to do it via CLI would also be nice for those like me that don't like to have a management software by brand.

I can see about adding firmware upgrade via CLI which in reality is already there if you look at the TFTP instructions and improvise

If firmware upgrade is possible by TFTP, would it not be possible to already roll your own script to upload then run any cli commands to activate or reboot the switch as needed? I have just started playing with my first switch, so I have not looked into the firmware options as of yet, just going out on a limb.

As I said if you knew what you were doing you should be able to look at the instructions for doing a TFTP recovery and improvise.
However I will see about putting in a firmware upgrade via CLI.
Also next week we will release a BETA management software that will upgrade switches via batches and schedules and warn you if something does not go as intended.
You will install the software on a computer windows or linux and it is web based. You will then add your switches, configure SMTP for alerts.
Then you can schedule upgrades whenever and get alerts if they fail or you lose access to a switch for what ever reason.
I also want to reach out to iWISP and see if they want to put firmware upgrade ability into their software and if so we will work with them to achieve it.

We'd like this too!
What about this feature?

I think its all well and good to develop management software, but for most of this its yet another software platform for us to manage. I think allowing a more open method for upgrades via an API or schedular would be more flexible.

I have just seen that the CLI has the "firmware upgrade
tftp://XXXXXX" command!
It seems just what we needed...
