We have one mini switch that has strange behavior. No matter what firmware we use, the switch does not save any configuration that lasts a reboot.
So when we configure, click apply, everything works as expected. As soon as the power is cut and the switch reboots it is back in default configuration.
Is there something that we can do to fix this?
Broken switch?

Re: Broken switch?
You can try a HARD factory default.
This is the default where you hold in the reset button for 20 seconds when you apply power.
If that does not work then RMA it as described in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1259

Re: Broken switch?
Hi sirhc, thank you for your reply. The reset button does not have any effect. It does click but no matter how long I push it, there is no change, no lights are shown, ... nothing changes.
Naturally when I push the reset button for 20 seconds during applying power, it does not do anything either.
We are in the Canary Islands (Spain). Should I RMA through our dealer or as you described in your tread?

Re: Broken switch?
All RMA's come directly through us.
Hook up a console cable and watch the boot process using PUTTY or another terminal emulator.
You will see where it instructs you to press the default button and will acknowledge it was pressed on the console screen.
Many people make the mistake and interrupt the switch at this time because during a HARD DEFAULT the switch must be left alone for several minutes as it is re-formatting the JFFS file system on the flash.

OOPS MY BAD
Well no, sorry, no console there.
Please try again holding in the default button in then apply power continuing to hold in the default button in for 20 seconds and then let it set for 3+ minutes un-disturbed.
If that does not work then you will need to RMA.
You could use normal mail to RMA it as it will be much cheaper to send back that way from there.

June 3rd was Friday, this is Monday June 6th....give me some time to respond, probaly later today!
I do work most weekends but my daughter graduated from HS Friday so I left early (5PM) and did not work this past weekend due to parties and such.

Ah sorry, didn't know that it was you personally that had to reply. Have no idea about the structure of your company. Please do not think that I was trying to hurry you.
