I have been updating all of our netonix to the latest 1.4.1 the previous version was 1.3.9 on the switches,, anyway I have completed all but 2 sites and both of those sites have "frozen" during the update process.. site 1&2 froze but kept passing full traffic and appears to be fine, but Im afraid to try to redo the upgrade or even attempt to power cycle,, it has been that way for 2days now am I safe at this point to try the update again.
i have completed all other sites without issue but these 2 are not done.. am I safe to try again or will it brick and lock up forcing me to replace them?

Re: updating firmware
Well first off did you read the release notes on v1.4.1 and v1.4.2rc6?
v1.4.1 has some bugs which you can get around by simply DISABLING or NOT ENABLING the Discovery Tab
If you want to use the Discover Tab you should use v1.4.2rc6
Now your going to have to explain FROZEN?
You are saying you tried to upgrade 2 sites to v1.4.1 and it Froze but is still passing traffic but your asking if you should try again?
How can you try again if it is Frozen?
Please explain how you would "try again"?
Also try closing your browser and then try loging into them again and even with a different browser.
Your post leaves a lot of detail out?
Can you SSH to the switches?
Can you ping the switches?
What does "frozen" mean exactly?
What browser were you using?

Re: updating firmware
I did read the relese nots..
as for frozen I can log into it from the same browser with a different tab or a different browser.. the original tab 'browser" is what froze,, sorry the switch itself has not locked up. I didnt want to try loading the firmware again through a different browser for fear it would actually lock up.
it unpacked the firmware and began the installation process it just did not complete it.

That often happens if you had the browser open to the switch for a long time and the certificates expired.
If you have the browser window open for a long time to the switch always hit refresh before you attempt the upgrade.
You are fine, just close the frozen Tab and do the upgrade from a new tab.
I strongly suggest using v1.4.2rc6
