Help with WS-12-AC dropping DHCP packets

Hi All, i have just replace all my UBNT radios with a Mimosa A5 and C5's (9 links) and replaced tough switches with WS-12-250-AC running firmware 1.4.7rc14
my setup is wifi to a campsite, i am having an issue with clients not getting DHCP addresses..... this is random.... i have a laptop in the one building connected by wireless to a "UBNT outdoor plus" ---> WS-12--->Mimosa C5 --->Mimosa A5---> UBNT edgeswitch ---> Cyberoam UTM firewall.

i have wireshark on laptop and see the discover packets sent, i see them hit the Cyberoam DHCP (packet capture on cyberoam) but 8 times out of 10 i don't see an offer or request.

i am not blaming the Netonix in any way..... but am asking if there is anyway to run a capture from WS12 or look at dropped traffic......

when i look at the port stats for port 1, Mimosa C5 link i see high "Receive error Counters" 83382 and "RxFiltered" 16. not sure what would cause this, or if these are dhcp packets.

Thanks in advance
Steve

Maybe use port mirroring to a laptop with wireshark. Also, you could look if DHCP snooping is enable on the netonix.

Hi thanks for the reply, the switch is 250 miles away..... so could do with a remote solution.. what will dhcp snooping give me...? thought that would just none authenticated DHCP servers...

No, sorry there is no way to do a remote capture with the Netonix.

Could you post up your Ports Tab.

If enable, it could block dhcp. That why writed you could look if it was enable.

You could use port mirroring to a router that could analyse traffic (tcpdump, torch on a Tik, etc.) if you have a router on site.

Sorry for the late reply.... i had to travel to the site. I ended up removing the Netonix switches from the network..... i still have the issue so i am ruling out my netonix switches. It would appear to be the Mimosa A5 and C5's.

Thank You for your responses.
