WS-12-250 odd speeds on Rocket M5 Radios

So recently customers have been complaining of download speeds that are slow on two of our Rocket M5 sectors on a specific tower. The AP itself would do 10-15-20 megabits. But any one user was only able to download between 1-3megabits TCP. Running UDP tests I would see expected speeds (10,20,30). However a TCP speedtest and real-world performance was only yielding 1-3megabits down... and around 4-5megabits up.

I rebooted the M5s. I power cycled the M5s. No Change.

I plugged my laptop into the M5 ports and pulled expected speeds.

I plugged the M5 back in and no better.

I rebooted the Netonix and speeds were back to normally with the M5 pushing 50 megabits on a 20MHz channel.

No errors on the ports, no excessive pause frames. Any ideas what this might have been?

I do not think this is the switch. I do hope your keeping your firmware up to date?

Could it be a bad client on the AP that just stopped using the AP at the right time?

It's been going on for a month.....

No. You'll note rebooting the APs did not solve the issue.

Power problem, ground problem, hardware problem, etc. Maybe a bug but I think chance are few since I don't remember a bug causing performance issue but I could be wrong.

If it happens regularly then try different things to narrow it down.

I can not give you a guess unless you provide me with a lot more information such as a network diagram and what's on each port of the switch.

Also post up all your TABs
