Can't Turn Port Off/Bounce

I'm running 1.4.8 on this switch, but I see no indication of a resolution of this issue in 1.4.9.
Today I had a radio that dropped from 1G to 100M-F and I couldn't communicate with. I tried to bounce the port and no go... did nothing. Log showed power was removed and re-applied... but it wasn't.
I tried manually dropping power and reapplying 24V. With the power turned off, I still had a link.
I finally just disabled the port, changed it to 1G, then saved, then enabled and set back to Auto and it came back at 1G auto and worked.
What on earth?? PGC-MTVL-SPOT is the one in question. Also, PoE smart was on... I turned it off and nothing changed.

You should still upgrade your firmware Matt.
Is the Port bounce not working still?
This makes no sense unless the switch port MOSFET is damaged and permanently stuck in the ON position?
See if port bounce is still not working and let me know.
The fact that the Ethernet communications was also stuck so to say may indicate that there possibly is damage on that port?
The link problem could have also been on the radio side whereas it was stuck and when you disabled the Ethernet port in the switch and re-enabled it forced the radio to renegotiate. Make sure the radio port setting is set to AUTO.
You need to do some testing and let me know.
On the Status TAB are the watts being correctly reported? If not this would further indicate possible damage to the port most likely ground current?
You could try a reboot and while your at it firmware upgrade and if port bounce is still not working you need to RMA the unit.
Make sure tower ground rods are always bonded to electrical service ground rods or ground current damage will occur.

This is a brand new switch... if the MOSFET is damaged, I received it that way. And yes, cycle still does not work. The watts are correctly reported, yes.

If the MOSFET came in the ON position you would think you would have seen this that the radio powered up as soon as you plugged it in when installing the switch before you turned POE on?
Anyway please try a reboot and while your at it upgrade the firmware and if you still can not turn OFF the POE on that port then please RMA it.
Could you please post up a screen grab of the Device/Status TAB

I played with it today. Today I can bounce the port or turn it on/off without any issue. So what does this mean?

I have no idea Matt, never seen this or heard of it?
MOSFET circuits do not break then fix themselves?
A possible cause grasping at straws could be a browser issue, keeping in mind the UI runs in the browser and sends commands to the switch so if the browser is messing up for whatever reason commands are not sent and action are not taken.
I have heard of people having issues where clearing their cache, upgrading their browser, or using another browser or machine fixed their issue.

Meh - not sure I buy that -- same browser, and I could make changes to other ports.

As I said Matt grasping at straws, never seen or heard of this before. But I can say this is not a hardware issue as MOSFETs do not break then fix themselves?
As far as software issue I would think we would have heard of other people seeing this already?
Same browser but days later means cache would clear itself and I am sure you would have closed and opened browser which corrects issues.
I have had problems with many websites that clearing the cache and or restarting browsers has fixed the issue and the web UI is a web page / site.
In hindsight I should have suggested you tried SSH / Telnet connection and bounced the port via the CLI which would have answered the question.

If it happens again I'll try that.
