Chris/Rory,
Was just setting up RSTP on my Netonix switches tonight and came across this. For RSTP shouldn't the default config have the Max Age as 3x that of the Hello Time vs 10x? It looks like the drop down defaults to RSTP but the values are defaults for an STP type setup?

You are correct, the timers are somewhat wonky. I believe that has been fixed in a new version, what firmware is on that device?
My recollection is that we put several fixes into 1.0.7, but right now it is advisable to always update to the latest version when convenient. We are pumping out fixes as fast as possible, and the software is maturing very quickly.

1.0.8 is on the device currently.
EDIT: Why can't I "thank you" for your post???

When upgrading from older versions the config is carried forward.
You can edit the values or default the switch and the default values will change.
Obviously we do not change configs during firmware upgrades.
Although we should and will verify with Eric that he did indeed change the default values so that a factory default would put in more appropriate values! Rory please confer with Eric on this.

OK, that makes sense.
So now, in addition to making sure we are on the latest, we should reset to defaults. J/K

Great! It wasn't a big deal, but something I noticed and wanted to point out. Thank you for not defaulting values on an upgrade.... there are some carrier companies *cough* /// that have been known to do that and it causes all kinds of grief during upgrades.

I will confirm that these values are sane by default. I know Eric and I both looked at them in the last week or two, but a double-checking is never a problem.

Rory,
What are the new "default" values for an RSTP setup on this switch? Am I correct thinking they would be:
6 / 2 / 15 ?
