netonix dc switch

I recently bought a netonix switch and am currently using it to power Unifi AP Outdoor + Access points. I notice on the switch that there is a grounding terminal
on the chassis. I have not used the grounding terminal on the switch before.

There is not issues with the netonix but i would like to do grounding on the switch to prevent it from further damage.

Is there a proper way to do grounding using the grounding terminal on the switch? Please advise

The model netonix I am using is WS-12-250-DC.

99% of all WISP equipment damage is from ground current (I own a WISP)
Another common cause for damage is a shorted cable or incorrect POE option applied to device.

Here are some good posts on grounding:

Read the posts above but the basics are as follow:
Tower ground rods must be bonded to electrical service ground rods HEAVY #2 wire.
I always add 1 or 2 “new” ground rods to older existing electrical services.
