Starting with version 1.0.10rcX we began hashing the password on the flash and in exported config files unfortunately at this time we caused a break or bug in the code that if a user defaults the switch the user is no longer able to login to the UI and must use the console cable to set the password in the CLI then they can log into the UI again.
Another bug that some people saw was an error message when they clicked the save/apply for UI config changes, some people would not have seen the message, it depended if they had SMTP enabled or not. The message was false as the config was saved/applied but this is fixed in v1.0.10rc7
Other known issues with v1.0.10rcX we are working on
NTP service is temperamental and may sometimes require disabling and re-enabling in the UI to cause the switch to get the correct time.
SNMP "possibly" sometimes also requires disable and re-enable in the UI to get it to function properly but this has only been reported by 2 people (les and mhoppes)?
We plan to push out a fully tested final release of v1.0.10 in the next few days. (Monday or Tuesday)
Also soon we plan to release v1.1.0 RC which will have most of the features we laid out in the firmware road map thread.
Sorry for any problems this has caused.
