Plugged this unit in after yarding it off back shelf, defaulted it so clearly I had used in days gone by and pulled it. Load config and it chugs along happily for about an hour then it dies and restarts over and over about every minute or two
Bad power supply perhaps or .... ?

Sounds like a power supply issue.
You can RMA the unit or first verify by swapping power supplies with a unit you know works fine.
