Let me preface by saying we have a half dozen other Netonix switches and have never had a problem. We're very satisfied.
We deployed a WS-12-250-AC at a new water tank site about two weeks ago. Everything is well grounded and exceeds all the recommendations posted here, including bonding with the utility ground.
A wild lightning storm came through last Saturday. Afterward the power LED was illuminated but there were no other signs of life. No other equipment at the site failed. I followed the instructions to reset the switch to factory defaults. Now the fan runs continuously, but I still do not get a link light on any port.
Is there any point in further troubleshooting? Perhaps via the serial port? Or should I go ahead and send this in for repair?
I honestly don't know what more we could have done to prevent damage.

Re: WS-12-250-AC ports dark after storm
Well, if you want to troubleshoot it a bit further, the next step would be to plug in a serial cable and connect putty. Turn it on and see if any console output occurs, if it does it means it's doing something.
But in reality this most likely needs to be RMA'd
