poe power totals seem off. I'm trying to get accurate data and the switch is showing me that port 1 is using 4.6 watts and port 2 is using 6.6 watts. (this should total 11.2 watts) yet total poe is showing up as 19.1 watts?

For one please upload pictures as explained in my post footer in the future.

Do you think the switch itself uses power?

Maybe the fan requires power too?

So with that said the "Total" power indicates not only the POE budget but also the switch board itself and the fan this the TOTAL.

You can clearly see this by turning off all POE and then you will still see watts in the TOTAL graph.

Now keep in mind that every port that has a link requires that port PHY to be powered up.

I'll upload pics the correct way going forward, sorry about that.

I assumed the switch itself is using power and using that line of thinking I did multiply the input voltage and input current shown at the top right and got 21.28 watts.

I also think I was reading the .mib file wrong

netonixSwitchGroup OBJECT-GROUP
OBJECTS { firmwareVersion,

I misread that total power consumption that came right after poe status as total poe power.... and of course I have my prtg sensor mislabeled. ugh woops
