-48v DC Isolated Power Supply for WS-12-250-DC

Looking at putting several WS-12-250-DCs in the field for a large telecom deployment. At a few sites I have -48V DC readily available to me, however the notes on the 250DC make it expressly clear these switches will not accept negative voltage. It is suggested to utilize an isolated power supply, does anyone have a suggested model for this application? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Have you looked into the IDC model that is meant for just such an application?

Why would you consider this at all?

Until you buy the WS-12-250-DC then an ISOLATED POWER SUPPLY why not just buy the switch that is designed for negative 48V which is the WS-26-400-IDC.

Now we are out of stock but several distributors have them in stock still. We will not have the WS-26-400-IDC back in stock for many weeks as recent popularity has picked up because of telecoms -48V situation.

Our you could use the WS-12-DC / WS-26-DC along with an ISOLATED power supply that supplies 48-54V

The SMART DC units such as WS-8-150-DC / WS-12-250-DC / WS-26-500-DC are all designed to hook directly to the battery bank NOT a power supply.

Also, if you intend to use an external isolated power supply, you would not need a switch with an internal power supply.
