Suspected Memory Leak with DAC (SFP)

Hi guys,
I've been scratching my head for a couple of months as to why four of my WS-12-250-DC switches keep rebooting every 2-3 weeks with firmware v1.5.1. Looks to be a memory leak, as the memory usage slowly creeps up until the switches reboot.
These specific switches are at two different sites (two switches per site - WS-26-DC was not available at the time of deploying) with each two switches connected by Direct Attach Cable (FiberStore SFPP-PC005 to be exact).
To clarify, I know the firmware I was running is now an older version and there have been a couple of memory leak fixes lately, so last night I've upgraded the firmware to v.1.5.3 at one of the sites to see if the issues magically go away - time will tell. Also, none of my other Netonix switches (none of which use DA cables) have this issue.
Now the reason I think this must be an SFP/DAC issue (I've determined it's not power related, and the high memory usage over time confirms this) is because both switches would reboot at more or less the same time as each other - perhaps even at exactly the same time (hard to know for sure). I can't think of anything else at either site which could cause this.
Physically accessing either of these sites to remove the DAC and replace with ethernet is a bit out of the way; although I do plan to visit one of the sites at some time in the near future. But even still, ports are limited, and also I'd rather not have to replace them with WS-26-DC if I can help it.
Does this sound like I'm on the right track in regards to this issue? Chris/support, if I sent you one of these DA cables, do you think you could try it out and see if you can replicate the issue?
Thanks!
