I have purchased 2 of the WS-12-400AC ISP switches and have come to the conclusion that they are not worth the powder it would take to blow them to hell! Switch 1 lost ports and will need to be sent in for repair. Switch 2 won't upload firmware 1.5.5 via the web interface. Switch is mostly just there and not real responsive to much of any thing. Hangs at 7-8% with no other load on the switch other than the backbone connection for the upgrade. Switch is on a Wyoming mountain top and not physically accessible this time of the year. So I'm stuck losing internet customers because we can get any throughput through the switch. The vendor I purchased both switches through stated that they have a lot of trouble with these and and have moved to selling another brand instead. What gives???
What would it cost me to send the switches in for repair so I can unload them on E-Bay?
These 12-400AC POE switches are garbage!

Re: These 12-400AC POE switches are garbage!
Well, first off, sorry you have had a bad experience with our switches.....however, we have sold well over 100,000 switches in the last 3 years, and are continuing to grow even without any marketing or sales force, so our switches can't be that bad. I can only guess something with your setup is giving the switches an issue.
You said it was on a mountain top. How are you providing the AC power for the switch if it is on a mountain top?
