Hey everyone,
I think I should first point out that I've deployed dozens of Netonix switches (WS-6-Mini all the way to WS-26-400-AC) with zero issues. These last two switches I've received (WS-26-400-AC & WS-12-250-AC) will not pass DHCP addresses. They'll receive a DHCP address but will not pass DHCP address requests. I have NTP on. The device is a known whitelisted device on our IPAM and DHCP. The whitelisted device (laptop) will receive an IP address no problem when the cat5e cable is swapped from the Netonix to it. If I return the cable to the Netonix, the Netonix receives an address just fine. When I plug my laptop into the Netonix, it won't receive an address.
I've done a firmware reset and the issue still persists. I have even duplicated a deployed WS-12-250-AC that is 1.5.0 and the issue still persists on the 1.5.5 Netonix.
The only config changes I have made are Staticv4 -> DHCPv4 & NTP enabled. That's really it!
What am I missing here? I'd hate to downgrade the firmware, but it seems like that's really the only option left.
I am really starting to question my own intelligence.
Thanks!

Re: 1.5.5 WS-12-250-AC won't pass DHCP
After hours of testing with my network architect, we decided to bite the bullet and downgrade the firmware, despite our better judgment. Turns out downgrading to 1.5.3 completely solved the problem. It would appear 1.5.5 has major issues if there are any VLANs on the network at all. This is a major issue and I hope 1.5.6 will solve it. Fortunately, we test all our equipment in the lab prior to deployment, so this issue didn't result in any downtime in the field.
Re: 1.5.5 WS-12-250-AC won't pass DHCP
I am facing the exact same issue.
Do you have a link or can you help me get the 1.5.3 firmware?
If I scroll all the way to the end of the firmware download post, it only goes as far back as 1.5.2.
Switch shipped with 1.5.5 and will not accept any firmware older than 1.5.3 due to the updated temperature sensor.
Thanks in advance.
Ross.

Re: 1.5.5 WS-12-250-AC won't pass DHCP
Just to clarify my issue.
(I also have a network full of Netonix switches, so, I am not a newbie not understanding how VLANs work on these switches).
WS-12-250-AC with 1.5.5 firmware. The switch is able to participate in a VLAN (in my case, the default VLAN where switch management happens is 30 tagged on all ports). The switch can communicate with a device (router), and a device can communicate with the switch (laptop to manage it) but the switch will not pass packets for the VLAN. Two devices in VLAN 30 connected through the switch are not able to communicate. Looking at the mac table on the switch, both devices are listed (and thus there is switch to device communication and vice-versa) but the devices can't talk to each other. This is also true for the non-default VLAN, i,e I configure VLAN 224. Both devices seen in the mac table but unable to communicate with each other.
Something is very broken. I really need the 1.5.3 firmware please, as the device is useless in this state.
Thanks,
Ross.

Re: 1.5.5 WS-12-250-AC won't pass DHCP
I am having this exact same issue on 2 different brand new switches. I am running 1.5.5 out in the field but these new switches shipped with 1.5.5 already on them. I can talk to the switch but it won't pass traffic from one port to another.
I reset the first switch and it still won't pass traffic with defaults. I have Internet in handing out DHCP, but it won't pass over the ports. If I static my PC I can log in and see in the port details that the packets are getting queued. I opened another brand new switch and it is doing the same thing on 1.5.5.
Looking at the forums it seems like a lot of people are having issues with these right now...If you have a switch that shipped with 1.5.5 you can downgrade to an older version and then upgrade and it will work fine.
