New Switch - No Data passing between ports

Thu Jul 16, 2020 4:23 am

Hi all.

gota new switch, but it refuses to pass data between ports.

I can log in to it no problem, but no traffic will pass over ports.

I have an edge power plugged into it, i changed the switch to 1.21 and edge 1.20 - i cannot ping the edge power if plugged into the switch

I can ping the switch and edge power if plugged into the edge power.

Any help appreciated.

Hey,

Look at the other topics, there is something wrong with the switches that have shipped with 1.5.5. You need to downgrade the firmware, then upgrade it again to 1.5.5 and it will work.

Good luck!

That's an interesting thought.

Now what if you put that together with all the reports against new boxes pre-loaded with v1.5.5 now seeing this problem ...

Is it possible that the difference is someone else is in charge of all the new build & load firmware process?

Maybe the previous person always did a factory default as the last step, and now Pirate7 that was not happening?

Regardless, by now, a Netonix person should take charge of all these reports in the forum, funnel them into one thread, then post a "issue being investigated" in the v1.5.5 release notes. Wouldn't you agree?
