i'm currently running firmware 1.5.6, and 1.5.7rc2 and getting "TIME NOT SET" on the ntp. Pointing to ntp didn't fix the problem. Looks like the problem started after the firmware upgrade from 1.5.5. Can you tell me if there is a resolution to this since the timestamp on the logs are all wrong.
Thanks

Re: time not net
Wellll ... for what it is worth ... I have been running v1.5.7rc2 for weeks and it seems to have no problem getting NTP time from a Cisco router which acts as a client to a public NTP server, and a server for the devices on our management network.
Any chance your edge routers started utilizing security filters to block NTP hacks at about the same time you did the upgrades?
Maybe check your WS logs to see if "ntpclient" has even been starting? On mine it eventually logs a
"Jan 27 05:57:27 system: time set by NTP server"
once it got through the network.
I also don't recall any issues running v1.5.6 for several weeks and NTP not working.

Re: time not net
Thanks. Time is working now, seems like there is something it didn't like about the existing ntp, after the upgrade. I ended up configuring a new ntp on the firewall interface.
Thanks for the quick reply.
