airFiber11 blows Netonix ports during rain storms

Hoping someone else has seen this before or knows what's going on.
We have abunch of airFiber5x/airFiber24/airFiber11 radios all over the place.
The only ones I see this with are the airFiber11s.
During rain storms, towards the end of the storm (no lightning in the area) if I have airFiber11s plugged into a Netonix switch at one tower the Netonix ethernet port will blow. Once we put the airFiber11s on independent PoE injectors that then plug into the Netonix switches, the issue has gone away. We have seen this happen with multiple airFiber11s at this site.
To me this sounds like static build up on the ethernet cable from rain water running down it.... but I see this issue on no other equipment. Has anyone else seen this, and any ideas on how to mitigate it and why it only seems to happen at certain locations? Why would this be blowing the Netonix ports? The Netonix is grounded properly and no other radios experience this issue.
