You have a list for all the 1 Gig fiber modules, but what will actually work on the WS-3 switches for 10 Gigs ?
Tried the Mikrotik S+31DLC10D module, and it will not show anything. Also tried the DAC03 modules...nothing!
The Mikrotik 1 Gig modules work fine.....if you only want 1 gig.

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
I'm using FS.COM's SFP-10G-LR optics and they're working fine.

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
wtm, wow I could've sworn I posted that at some point. But you're right - I don't see the tested 10g module's list on the forum.
I will have to dig through my pile of sfp+ module's but I will make a list and post it sometime today and link it here.
Btw, also make sure that you are running the latest firmware. Also, if under the Ports tab in the Link column, if you are using "Auto" change it to "10G" instead. Sometimes that can help a stubborn module.

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
Have the latest firmware in them, these 2 units just came back from factory from the board changes. Have it set to 10G, but still no ACC lights come on. Let me know if you can find that 10G list ?

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
Hey wtm, here is the compiled list from testing we've done so far:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7200
I've added the 2 SFP+ module's you mentioned here as not working.

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
Well as per Vianet's suggestion, I purchased a few FS SFP-10GLR-31 modules to try.
What's funny, is that these modules and the Mikrotik ones, seem to connect up at 10 Gig on both the Mikrotik unit and the Netonix WS-3 switch WHILE the Netonix is re-booting, I get the ACC and 10G led's on, and blinking, but once the Netonix settles down and starts whatever programming that allows you to login to the unit, they suddenly drop the SFP+ port connections (goes dark).
I have tried forcing 10 gig on the Mikrotik (Turning off auto), and selected 10G on the Netonix unit. Nothing changes. The Mikrotik will allow me to see what is plugged into the SFP+ port, but I don't get any status on the Netonix to check anything.
Looks more like a software problem, than a hardware problem to me?
Suggestions?

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
Very odd problem you're having here.
Though I have no Mikrotik in my network, I am however facing a Cisco ASR920 and a Ceragon IP20C unit and it seems to be fine here. I am using "Cisco branded" fs.com modules. Probably doesn't make a difference though.
Everything is up at auto/auto

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
Yup, very weird, as the Netonix boot log shows that Port 12 (CPU connection) has come up at 1 gig, and Port 13 (SFP+ connection) has come up as 10 gig. Then it goes through the STP stuff, and finally loading the OS. There is NO listing of the port dropping at any point, but it goes totally dark on the LED's. I am going to look at the firmware, and maybe try loading an earlier version in and see what happens?

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
I actually did a majority of the testing with a Microtik CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+, so I'm surprised it's giving you so much trouble.
If you find a version of firmware that seem's more stable please let us know which one.

Re: WS-3 fiber modules ?
Stephen,
Might you have a previous version of firmware we can try, before the 2.0.6 version? I noticed that there was some change in it for the SFP+ ports. We can see if that might work on the unit?
