Switches dropping connectivity

Greetings all.

We have a WISP with 30+ Netonix switches. As we have added more locations and switches, we have been having some issues with random switches just dropping all connectivity at random times. The latest was tonight. I've had zero luck troubleshooting the issues, and end up putting in a new switch with a backup of the config, and the switch takes off. I'm fairly certain I haven't done something correct with the config, but I am stumped. I downloaded the Netonix Manager and tonight I am seeing in the log file several ETIMEDOUT and ESOCKETTIMEDOUT errors. I don't ever see any errors on the actual switch log, but nothing gets through traffic-wise. I don't see any loop errors, and I have the backhaul ports trunked

I am hoping for some advice so I can prevent this from happening again.

Thanks in advance for all the help.
Cal

We are experiencing the same problem with a single switch. What can we do to troubleshoot the problem? Is there a way to lengthen the timeout period?

Thanks

Sorry but we can't just figure out why just like that, the're just not enough details. You must help us to help you.

Pease post a schema of your network, L2 (switch only) or L3 (with router) ? Output of the "show vlan" command.

Just like that, I would way to first turn STP off where not needed. If your sur you have no loop, simply disable it. Several have experience issues with STP for an unknow reason. Personally, I've since it a single time while we have hundred of Netonix in production for several years.

Also, it's the basic but, make sure they're no power or grounding issues. Most inexplicable devices behavior are cause by power issues that can even cause permanent hardware damage.
