Speaking of AF-5X ... several weeks ago I leaned on ubnt-Ben about the fact that if we are trying to engineer power supplies at remote sites, we really need the manufacturer's spec sheets to contain things like operating Vin-min / Vin-max. I started asking about AC radios, but then figured we needed the AF radio specs too. Well he rattled the cages of the hardware spec people. And that got a reply and then apparently a correction.

Read where ubnt-Chuck says AF5X power: 20 - 28VDC ....
But then, when they put it in the spec sheet, it looks like now the official range is 19 - 29VDC

Personally I wish it was 30 instead of 29, the number MikroTik works with ... buuuut, it's close enough

Re: AF-5X fits inside RF Armor Rocket shield
So I installed an AF-5X in a Rocket Dish 30 dBi enclosure. I have sent pictures to Chris but You guyz can see them here also...
I have now an AF5X with Rocket Dish 30 dBi installed 1.5 meters and 90 degree away from my AF5. When doing AirView from the AF5X I can't see the AF5 at all. Spectrum is clean.....
I'm thinking that it's because of the RF Armor shield case I mounted the AF5X inside.
I'm not worrying about heat. Here in Denmark it never gets that hot.....
I have to cut off some of the grounding bolt on the AF5X with an angle grinder to have the AF5X fit the RF Armor case....
