Just spoke with someone at Mimosa. He shared with me that the B5 and B5c are legal in the US in U-NII-1 with a 40dBm EIRP and that full testing is already underway at the FCC which might mean certification within 3-4 months. Just thought I'd share. This looks to be the earliest/cheapest option for my 12 Mile link.

That sounds interesting, if you hear anything further feel free to pass it on.

I ordered one, told that I should see delivery late December. We'll see.

Did you get you B5c unit, and if so how is it working? Also looking at their calculator, it shows only 17 Db TX output on the unit?

had to pass it on to a friend, don't have the liquid funds. We installed the B5 unit and it is sweet (but overpriced), didn't install the b5c yet.
FYI, the B5c has an adjustable gain configuration in the UI, so you enter the dish's gain and the radio automatically moves to 40dB EIRP. If you see 17dB in a slider, the antenna is set at 23dBm.

OK, Mimosa,
been looking all around to try and find a Jumper cable to go from the Rocket dish (Reverse-Sma male?) to your B5c unit (N male?) Not sure what type cable has the least losses for this? Probably need @ 2feet long (I think?) on it, to make it from the bottom of the B5 unit up to the Rocket dish!
Suggestions?
Might be something you would want to offer as a Rocket Dish conversion kit?
(I would have a concern about a heavy or tough bending cable going to that small sma on the Dish....I bump, and it would break off)

I think Streakwave carries the needed jumper

I've always looked to
www.l-com.com for unusual cables.
