AF5x problems after power loss. We have been given the case that electrical problems and after exhausting the UPS equipment has stopped.
When the power has returned the equipment is operated. The ether of POE AF5x was on but the AF5x not turn on.
We must make a POE POE off and on to work. There is a similar case or problem reported

Re: AF5x problems after power loss
We have a AF5x powered 24V with Netonix WS-12-250-AC. The system works well until the Netonix loses power. (Eg failure of the electric company) When power is restored the Netonix starts, but UBNT AF5x not start although the POE is ON. Then we have to make a POE OFF, then a POE ON and AF5x working again. any suggestions
THANKS

Re: AF5x problems after power loss
Possible causes:
Bad switch port which you can test by moving to another port
Bad radio which you can test by swapping out AFX radio.
Other possible issue:
Possibly radio is not powered off but rather Ethernet link has dropped due to bad cabling.
Is the port in the switch and the radio set to Auto?
If not then the link drops as it can not maintain 1G and is not allowed to drop to 100M
You can tell if the radio is really off or just the Ethernet link is down because you hard set to 100M
You should NEVER set ports to fixed speed duplex because if 1G fails the link drops.
Another thing that can happen is if Pair 1 or Pair 2 drops because of bad connection the radio stays powered via Pair 3 and Pair 4
You can test if this is happening by simply seeing if the radio is still drawing power on the Status Tab.
When you reset the power you are re-negotiating Ethernet as well.
If this is the case you can achieve the same thing by leaving POE power ON and simply disabling the Ethernet communications and then re-enabling it.
Also note you can power AFX radios with 48V or 48VH read this post: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1215#p9040
