Hi Chris
Is it possible to power a mini from port 2 48vH on a mini.
Basically installing a few cameras on light poles all of them are 48v Poe. Might add a couple to a pole and I ran a network cable from 1 pole to another because it was added after. I will run it from the mini. But if they want more cameras could I feed that cable to another mini?
Thanks

You can but you will need to watch your total load (watts) and voltage drop.
What will power the first WS-6-MINI?

Thanks for the quick response as always Chris.
I will power it from a air fiber Poe from around 150 feet away.
Only thing that will be on the 2nd one is 3-4 cameras.

The AF24 POE brick is only 50V 60 watts total which is probably NOT enough
I would suggest getting the larger UBNT POE brick https://www.streakwave.com/Itemdesc.asp ... V-80W&o1=0
It is 54V 80 watts
1 st switch 4 cameras @ 6 watts each is 24 watts or more + 6 watts for the switch that is 30 watts or more
2 nd switch 4 cameras @ 6 watts each is 24 watts or more + 6 watts for the switch that is 30 watts or more
So you're already at 60 watts and we are not accounting for cable loss and other factors or cameras that take more power

+1 on going with the larger 54V brick. You will lose 1.4V on each PoE, so 2.8V plus the line loss.
