Chris,
Is there any possiblity to see Q-in-Q support on your switches? I know the core will support it. I've got a project coming up that requires it -- and I'd love to use your switches..... but :)

Re: Q-in-Q
The problem with Q-in-Q is how to layout the interface SIMPLE!
A lot of switches support this but their interface BLOWS and is very complicated.
We do intend to implement it but it is not going to happen in the next couple weeks.
We want to make sure we are able to maintain a SIMPLE interface without having to go to multiple different places within the UI just to set it up.

Support is handled on the Forums not in Emails and PMs.

Re: Q-in-Q
Understood... by the end of the year?
Why not just have a check box beside a port (Enable Q-in-Q) and then just pass the frames on? Why does the interface need to be complicated?

Interesting... I am very glad to see this. I will be able to put our airfibers on the switch if this can happen! :)

Chris
Lay the VLANs out in a "tree".
VLANs get put under the same table. If you add QiQ, make that the "top" vlan with the other vlans indented underneath it. This allows for a nice layout flow while being intuitive.

That isn't a bad idea. Of course Eric may disagree, but from my limited programming experience I don't THINK that would be difficult to implement. I'm 100% sure that feature isn't on the horizon for the very near future, but this is something that we have discussed adding, as it is a usefull if not commonly used capability, and our hardware already supports it.
I would imagine that a command line utility could be provided to configure this fairly shortly, but I would imagine that we would want to wait to announce the feature until we had a production ready web-ui for it.
And of course, this is off the top of my head, so Chris please feel free to correct me if necessary =D
