Any suggested SFP's yet?
I have some mikrotik and maxxwave sfp's I was going to plug in and try. just wondering what others have found to work?
Anyone using any copper sfp's also?

I just tested some maxxwave mw-sx-mm-us sfp's between a ws-12-250a and a mikrotik CRS and a Mikrotik 2011 and wasn't able to get it to pass traffic.
The port showed to be "up" on the WS and showed it was sending frames down the link on the overview status page but when you clicked on the little gear on the right and selected "port detail" it was all zeros. The tik's also showed all zero's.
Took the same sfp's and patch cable and connected them between the CRS and the 2011, worked like a charm.
using ports 13 and 14 doesn't disable any of the copper ports, right?

Anyone using SFP's care to comment on what they have working. I tried the maxxwave SFP again and it still doesn't pass traffic.
I don't have any other SFP's to test with and want to buy some copper ones so I don't lose powered ports.

HI Andy,
Rory ordered the SFP modules that you have but they will not arrive until Monday or Tuesday.
I can also have him post the brands that we have tried that we know work on Monday.
Rory was supposed to have sent you an email informing you of his progress??
I know that Rory installed another switch at one of our tower sites late last night which is using is using the SFP ports that have a Static aggregation group to our Cisco router and it is also running VLAN's across them as trunk ports.
The aggregation group even goes one step further and includes 2 SFP ports (ports 25 and 26) and one copper port (port 24).
So our Trunk ports for all the VLAN's including the airFIBER back hauls are running across 2 of the SFP modules and ports 24 in a Static aggregation group.
When our SFP modules that match your fiber SFP modules get here we will determine if there is an issue with out switches working with them and if there is see if we can fix it or if it something else.

No 13 and 14 are not shared ports and do not disable any other ports.
Only the WS-24-400A has 4 shared SFP ports, ports 21 through 24 where you either use the built in copper port or the matching SFP port.
Are you running v1.0.2 firmware?

I would put the new version on which is v1.0.2
But hopefully your SFP modules come tomorrow and we can test them.

I just flashed 1.0.4 and the sfp mentioned doesn't work.
In the WS interface it shows linked up. but the mikrotik ccr doesn't even think the port is up.

Just tested a Maxx wave MW-LX-SM-US and a Mikrotik S-31DLC20D in the WS and both of them caused the switch to display the wattages as 0 and sometimes negative numbers.
Unfortunately I don't have a SM LC to LC patch cable to see if these will link up or not.
POSSIBLE FIX

There is a new v1.0.5rc2 firmware that we hope resolves this, please report back what you find!
