So far, all our 100+ access points are on-grid, and UPS protected.
But next week, one of our sites at a wind turbine farm is due to be off for two days. (They burnt through a 4" thick copper cable when it peaked).
So. Lets assume I want an 8 port DC switch, and will attach a couple of AWG batteries to it. What can I do to attach solar panels, or set it up so I can remove an individual battery and take it away for a re-charge on grid.
For instance, do I wire two batteries in parallel, so I can remove a battery? Do I just get a charger/solar panel controller and wire it across the batteries too?
(Real newbie stuff, I know. Sorry)
Any advice gratefully received,
