Re: edgeMAX vs WISP Switch
We chose not to implement MSTP in first release due to time frame and that few people use it.
Do you use MSTP?
If so please weigh in below.

Re: edgeMAX vs WISP Switch
Here are the official MSRP for the switches.
I think we did very well building a HIGH quality WISP Switch line in North America not China that is designed for the WISP Industry by a WISP!

Re: edgeMAX vs WISP Switch
There are 2 big differences that make it very attractive to a WISP. 1) temperature ratings are much better suited for the WISPs often install these things. 2) One does not need advanced training in order to operate it. Configuration is very straightforward.

Re: edgeMAX vs WISP Switch
How loud is the WispSwitch? Meaning the fans.
Edit: read the specs earlier in the thread. Thats pretty quiet! (i think)
Different models have different number of fans? or they all the same. Are these fans designed to be quieter?

Re: edgeMAX vs WISP Switch
The 24 ports have 3 fans and the 12 port has 2 fans.
I think they are pretty quiet.
Matt Hoppes and Sam Beiler both saw one here and can confirm they are pretty quiet.
With the fans running at FULL speed which would not occur in a typical room or office with ambient room temperature of 72F it is about as loud as a Cisco 1800 series router.
With the fans at half speed or less in a typical air controlled environment it quieter than a PC fan.
