We previously used netonix switches to power various Axis and other cameras. We had an issue before with Q6128 cameras where we had to switch the polarity, as described in this post: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5812&p=30990&hilit=axis#p30990
We are having issues now with both Q6135-LE PTZ and Q1798-LE cameras. I can power both cameras with the netonix switch, but the full functionallity of the camera isn't available. There is an error message on the camera that there is insuffecient power available.
The Q6135-LE is a PTZ. The power adapter(T8154) which is delivered with this camera has the following pinout:
3,6 +56V 0.535A
1,2 Return
4,5 +56V 0.535A
7-8 Return
So I thought by using a crossover cable in 48VH mode like we used with the Q6128-E cameras, we should be fine. But this doesn't seem to work with these cameras. I also tried without the crossover cable and in 48V mode, but none worked. The midspan which is delivered with these cameras is also the same as with the Q6128-E cameras which do work.
I have the same issue with the Q1798-LE camera. This is a bullet camera. I have a live image but I can't use the remote zoom and focus. I also tried all modes with this camera (without frying the camera ), but it's all the same.
Does anyone have any ideas what the cause might be?

Re: Axis Q6135-LE and Q1798-LE power
I never got our Q6128 to power directly from a WS-8-AC. Had to leave a midspan injector to power the camera.
