Hello,
I am having an issue where once I try polling the Netonix WISP Switch via SNMPv2, the switch responds for about 5 seconds and then stops responding to SNMP again until after the switch is rebooted. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? I am using Solarwind Orion for our Network Manager.

Re: SNMP Stops responding
What version of firmware are you running (always report what firmware you are using as it helps us help you)?
v1.3.9rc4 - Released 11/30/2015
- Changed from mini-snmpd to net-snmp, a more common and well tested snmp daemon.
Try v1.3.9rc13 and see if that fixes the problem, you should read the v1.3.9rcX thread as some things changed with SNMP

Re: SNMP Stops responding
I am currently on version 1.3.9rc13.
I found in a post where others were reporting that their CPU would max out at 100%. This is the same problem I am seeing now.

Then you should have posted this in the v1.3.9rcX thread, I will move the posts but that was solved (HIGH CPU).

Re: v1.3.9rcX - BETA/Release Candidate
Please provide details on how to recreate the issue and I will have Eric come take a look.
Specify version of the Dude and steps you do to create it.
I think the last time Eric was unable to recreate it and other people are using the Dude with no issue so it has to be something specific in the way it is being used with the Dude that causes the issues?
Anyway provide as much info as possible and I will ask Eric to come review again, maybe allow him access to your computer via Teamviewer so you can demonstrate?

Hi Chris,
sorry i didn't explain myself well, the phrase "as it should" is referred to the ability to make the switch true transparent, usually you have the option to select BPDU behaviour. When you have to transport customer traffic transparently, at the access layer you should have the ability to do that without becoming part of his network, think about transporting customer's QinQ MSTP traffic before encapsulating on MPLS tunnel, SP devices should have the ability to forward it. And i wouln't call Cisco 6500 switches as the one we use "dumb".

As i've been trying to explain for months, 100% CPU usage is NOT fixed. Moving to snmpd improved things but graphing interfaces still causes 100% CPU for someone.
Please let me know if you are able to reproduce the issue with David and if you need remote access here too.
As you can see it's very easy to reproduce, this is a new clean dude installation, add netonix switch, set snmp community, add link, select interface, booom, cpu 100%.

I am available for a remote session anytime you guys are. I can reproduce the problem very easily with Solarwind. Just let me know when you have some free time.
